Drip...Drop...Drip...Drop...

It has been raining here a little bit, but not enough to make the stream swell into a brook. Oh well. We'll have to wait another day. When that day comes, I PROMISE to show you what it looks like!! You would not believe how beautiful it is. It gushes from Thorny Haven, then over-flowing Home Rock, rushing along the rest of the creek, then ends with its Grand Finale by gradually flowing into the lake. Just hope it rains hard enough in Mid-Missouri soon! Sleep well (it's 8:52 here)!

A Tour of the Valley

I know you all would love to see how the Secret Valley ACTUALLY looks, but I have no pictures for you yet. Yes, the Secret Valley is based off my home, right in my back yard! I'll describe it for you. There's a beautiful stream that runs through here. A black pipe stretches across to help you get over to the other side without getting your feet wet. ☺ But where does that stream lead? To a lake, of course. There are many landmarks in the Secret Valley. Starting with the beginning the stream, which I have named Thorny Haven. There's two parts to this name. The place is covered in thorns, but there is a nice cool pool of water there that you can dip your feet in and relax (hey, I rhymed! LOL). It is a haven for all who wish to get past the thorns and have fun. Moving on, following the stream, there are a few bends, then we come to Home Rock. Great place to gather, lots of room and places to put sweaty feet. ☺ Another pool of water for those feet of yours! Then comes the pipe, and another nice little pool. It's not so nice as Home Rock, but if it's too crowded there, come here. Come along now, we must be going. No time to splash water at each other now, you'll have time to do that later. Now for a great part of the valley, the lake. During the summer, you can swim here all you want, and in the winter, the ice might be thick enough to skate on, but don't go too far! I don't want to be liable for you falling. ☺☺☺ Well, that's it! You now know your way around. Enjoy!

Spring's here at last...ah...

Yes, the trees are full and green again, and it is growing almost unbearably hot here in Missouri! We all know what that means!! That's right, it's spring here in the Secret Valley. Let the shade of the trees cool you as you lie down in the soft green grass. My blessings to you!
